Get up and running with SBOM Observer in minutes. No signup required.
Get started with SBOM Observer using our interactive live demo. You'll upload an SBOM, create a policy, and see how violations are evaluated - all in your browser with no signup needed.
This quickstart takes just a few minutes and gives you a complete feel for how SBOM Observer works.
Steps to get started
Open the Live Demo
Head to demo.sbom.observer and click on "Open Live Demo" to access your own private sandbox environment.
This is your personal workspace - not shared with other demo users - so you can safely explore, edit existing data, and upload new SBOMs.
The demo account includes most Business Plan features. The namespace automatically resets after one hour of inactivity, so feel free to experiment and explore.
Upload an SBOM (Optional)
Click Attestations → Upload Attestation to upload an SBOM in CycloneDX or SPDX format.
Don't have an SBOM? You can create or get one using:
- The Observer CLI to generate SBOMs directly from your projects
- Any SCA (Software Composition Analysis) tool that exports CycloneDX or SPDX format
- Example SBOMs from the CycloneDX examples repository
If you skip this step, you can still create policies against the existing demo data to understand how they work.
Create Your First Policy
Navigate to Policies and create a new policy. This is where you define what compliance means for your organization. You can use the Visual Builder for simplicity or write code-based policies for more control.

Review Policy Violations
Once your policy is set up, SBOM Observer checks all components in your workspace for compliance. Open Policy Violations from the left navigation to see results.
You can then update your policy or resolve the underlying issues.
